This is not an official forum. For support, contact. I'm not buying this one, but the only reason I am not is that I own almost everything already. Sorcerer King and Fallen Enchantress are both fun, if not overly complicated, Civ-like games with a mechanic that involves leveling up heroes and a strategic combat mode that involves setting out troops much like Endless Legend.
I've had a lot of fun playing these over the years. Sin of a Solar Empire is a gem of a 4X game, with 3 different races that each have two variants. It is a space RTS that doesn't need a lot of micro to have fun, which I think is a good thing.
Games can get bogged down a little when the outcome is more or less a foregone conclusion, and I dislike the late game ultimate weapon spam, but modding support is pretty good, with excellent mods for things like Star Trek and Star Wars to be found through modDB. To my knowledge, there's not a great deal of online play these days, though that's not ever really bothered me because the AI is acceptably competent, and I would imagine there are communities that have formed around playing it multiplayer.
Gal Civ 3 is a great game, with Crusade fleshing it out pretty well. Civ like, but in space, and with a few different ways for races to play out.
Really large maps can bog to a crawl, so be warned if your computer isn't great, but still a lot of fun at this price. It's not the same sort of game as Stellaris, but it's pretty fun, and there's the ability to create as many new species as you desire to customise your world. Good mod support. Offworld Trading Company is another RTS but one that is built around developing a corporate machine. I'm not great at this, but watching a couple of Let's Play videos on YouTube is plenty to get you into the swing of things.
Build what amounts to a factory, while leveraging scarce materials to take advantage of your rivals by selling to them at outrageously high prices. Ashes of the Singularity is. It's an RTS that aims to minimise micro, and for that it's to be applauded. I felt like it was a little bit bland to me, but then I've probably not given it a fair crack either, so this is the least ringing endorsement, but also the one you should give the least weight to as well. I think the Gal Civ DLC in Crusade is worth the extra 8.50 or so anyway, especially if you look at Ashes as notionally $2 worth of enjoyment at a minimum. All in all, a really, really good bundle I think.
